Crime Stoppers is seeking information on the Homicide of Brandon Young which occurred on June 3, 2018 while attending a party at the MLK Center in Monticello.  The center was rented out for an 80s and 90s music party.  Gunshots rang out after an argument said Jefferson County Sheriff Mac McNeil, who was not at liberty to give out much information to avoid compromising the investigation.  “It was an argument that turned violent with two individuals being shot,” he said.  JCSO deputies and the Monticello Police Department responded to reports of several rounds of gunfire with injuries at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.  Another man was shot and driven to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  Anyone who can help is encouraged to come forward.  The information must be reported anonymously to Big Bend Crime Stoppers and could be eligible for a reward of up to $9,500.  Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling (850) 574-TIPS, online at http://bbcsi.org/ or through Crime Stoppers P3 APP available in the Apple and Android APP stores.

In addition to the reward offered by Tallahassee Crime Stoppers (up to $5,000), an enhanced reward of up to $4,500 is available through the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the Florida Office of Attorney General.  The additional monies are available through June 30, 2022.  The anonymous tip must come through the Crime Stoppers program in order to be eligible for up to $9,500 reward.
