Crime Stoppers is seeking information on the homicide of Leoninas Williams, which occurred on Feb. 4th, in the 2500 block of Texas Street. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle standing in the roadway directly in front of the apartment complex. A deceased male was located in the driver’s seat suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The victim appears to have encountered the shooter while driving his vehicle near the intersection at Putnam Dr. Investigators have conducted extensive canvassing of the area for witnesses and surveillance. Physical evidence recovered at the scene is not expected to identify the actual shooter. They were able to locate video (not released to the public) before and after the incident from nearby locations. Anyone who can help is encouraged to come forward. The information must be reported anonymously to Big Bend Crime Stoppers and could be eligible for a reward of up to $9,500. In addition to the reward offered by Tallahassee Crime Stoppers (up to $5,000), an enhanced reward of up to $4,500 is available through the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers, in partnership with the Florida Office of Attorney General. The additional monies are available through June 30, 2022. The anonymous tip must come through the Crime Stoppers program in order to be eligible for the up to $9,500 reward.
